“You shall not strip your vineyard bare, or gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and the alien:
I am the Lord your God.”

“When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, or gather the gleanings of your harvest; you shall leave them for the poor and for the alien:
I am the Lord your God.”

– Leviticus 19:10; 23:22

We are busy. We are desperate. We try to maximize every opportunity. We strip the vineyard bare; we reap to the very edge of every field. Why wouldn’t we? If we discover extra time, or more money than we expected at a certain point, THEN, perhaps, we could share with others.

Except, that never really happens: we never have “extra” time or money.

We do have an abundant, generous Lord, who tells us to follow his lead, though. He tells us to exercise faith, to give time AND money from whatever we have (see Mark 12:41-43), and to care for our neighbor . Even during times such as these. When each of us gives a little, together we give a lot.

You may simply want to donate cash or items directly. But if you have something, or purchase something from the list, and would like to physically deliver it to the church, stop by tomorrow, 10:30 am-12 pm!
