JOY Part 2: Secret – July 12th
Last week, we went through DOOR #1: we explored the option of trying to find joy by joining the DARK SIDE. Of course, that doesn’t always work out.
We then entered DOOR #2, to find joy by acknowledging God’s common grace, and experiencing joy in generosity.
You may remember, though, we stopped just as we were about to enter DOOR #3. More a hidden passageway, the door to finding this fruit of the Spirit, this type of JOY, involves a mystery. Our souls need to be reshaped, reborn even, to enter this secret doorway.
“…Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, ‘I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.'” Luke 10:21
